The Chokkanathaswamy Temple

Located at Domlur (close to the airport) in the Indian city of Bengaluru is one of the oldest religious structures built. The dedication is to the Hindu god; Vishnu known as Chokkanathaswamy or Chokka Perumal. The bengaluru temple is famous for its large pillars and beautifully sculpted statues. Shivoham Shiva Temple

“Lord Shiva’s Temple”


The most distinguishing feature of this temple is the 65 feet tall idol of Lord Shiva sculpted out of white marble. The temple in Bengaluru- completed in 1995 and consists of 32 feet high Ganesha idol and a 25 feet high Shiva Linga. The temple complex contains a marvellously constructed statue of Lord Shiva; with the Holy Ganga flowing out of his matted locks. The statue of Lord Shiva stands at 65 feet and sits inside a man-made pool of water; that is a replica of Mount Kailash (Shiva’s natural habitat).

Kote Venkataramana Swamy Temple
